Track Name: Where the Light Resides
Back at the untrodden road
Getting lost again
Where even birds don’t dare to roam

I've been down at the water’s edge
Throwing stones in
How could I ever stop the ebb?

In the blue light of the cheddar moon
I turn the sand clock
Each time my mind return to you
And I wonder will I ever cease to blame

It may be a song I heard
Or that I took a wrong turn
Or that she smiled a little bit like you used to
It may be I’m out of my mind
Can’t leave the past behind
Maybe it really was me and not you

No wind through the barren trees
A crackle of a branch
Everyone’s got someplace else to be

I’m too far to retrace my steps
I wish I could read the stars
I wish I didn’t want you back
And I wonder will I ever cease to blame

It may be a song I heard
Or that I took a wrong turn
Or that she smiled a little bit like you used to
It may be I’m out of my mind
Can’t leave the past behind
Maybe it really was me and not you

You can’t put a price on peace of mind
One man’s wrong is another man’s right
But somewhere far beyond the darkest night
Is where the light resides

It may be a song I heard
Or that I took a wrong turn
Or that she smiled a little bit…

It may be a song I heard
Or that I took a wrong turn
Or that she smiled a little bit like you used to
It may be I’m out of my mind
Can’t leave the past behind
Maybe it really was me and not you
Track Name: Suzanna Smiling
So sad to see Suzanna smiling
As sleep is stretching over us
I'm still saving Suzanna's star
A small souvenir of silk

In a sewer of Suzanna's sketches
Simplicity still stands in style
Streams and streams of suns descending
Statues, silent and senile

She said: savor the Savior, the savage survivor
we're not the same, you are strange
And I said: scientists seek certainty but they scrutinize sawdust
We are slaves to the stars
We are slaves to our scars

She scraped for a soap to scrub her soul
And so she slit her sanity
Sidestepping all her stubborn senses
A solemn face, a sallow skin

Suzanna's sweet and sandy songs
Describe the sadness of the sky
She could still soothe her suffering by singing
Her voice still stuck inside my skull.

She said: Savor the savior, the savage survivor
we're not the same, you are strange
And I said: Scientists seek certainty but they scrutinize sawdust
We are slaves to the stars
We are slaves to our scars

Now summer stood strong in silence
As a silhouette strolled down the coast
They saw seaweed saturate her stomach
As she sleepwalked into the sea.

So sad to see Suzanna smiling
As sleep is stretching over us
I'm still saving Suzanna's star
A small souvenir of silk

She said: Savor the savior, the savage survivor
we're not the same, you are strange
And I said: Scientists seek certainty but they scrutinize sawdust
We are slaves to the stars
We are slaves to our scars
Track Name: Old Memory
Old Memory

What's the most you can carry?
When do you know you're in too deep?
Is there a point where the pain becomes so scary
that you forget it's your own hand holding the whip?
You changed the locks on your door
You spend the nights on the floor
cause there's a woman that keeps staring at you
an old memory you can't bury

Don't you know this isn't love?
But you just can't get out of whatever this is

Where's the farthest you've fled to?
What's that most distant place
Where there's nothing but the darkness and you
And you keep reliving your mistakes
The trees are barren in the park
You're feeding on a fading spark
Cause there's a woman's voice that you keep hearing
an old memory you still cling to

Don't you know this isn't love?
But you just can't get out of whatever this is

You're born you'll die empty-handed
It's the things one cannot touch
You built a life and it crumbled
Something stole your trusted crutch
But you kind of like she's in your head
It's all that you've got left
Oh that woman moves like a breath around you
An old memory left you branded

Don't you know this isn't love?
But you just can't get out of whatever this is
Track Name: Stones Don't Cry
I was a blackbird caught in some backyard with no song left to sing
As the evening invaded the avenue you became my friend
I climbed up to a treehouse, I guess I built it on a dream
Cause when I told you I loved you, you just bowed your head

Stones don't cry
We're not guilty of treason
On some cold and lonely morning
You might change your mind

Raindrops slide down the window and turn into a stream
Twisting our reflection in the glass
When I'm close to you I can feel the distance
We're like two pearls on a string
I'm struggling to tiptoe around our past.

Stones don't cry
We're not guilty of treason
On some cold and lonely morning
When the lines you drew start fading
I hope I'll still be waiting
And you'll change your mind
Won't you change your mind
Track Name: I Hope the Wind Knows (feat. Joanna Marie)
Standing by a lonely road in the middle of nowhere
I got dust on my shoes,
I've been stuck with the same blues for too long
I hear a car approaching
But should I bum a ride
and just go for it
despite the fear inside?

My heart is bigger than this roadmap
And I'm not looking back
I got no idea where I'm going
But I'll trust the wind
And I hope the wind knows where it's blowing

I never took a step before without knowing where it leads
Always seeking signposts, hungry for approval
But that only makes you blind
So I travel without luggage now
I left all my shit behind
And it feels kind of crazy
Tears rolling down my face
But man I feel alive

My heart is bigger than this roadmap
And I'm not looking back
I got no idea where I'm going
But I'll trust the wind
And I hope the wind knows where it's blowing
Track Name: Chelsea 1972 (For Patti Smith)
Our love was born in the lobby
Of the Chelsea Hotel in 1972
Where you smiled that I looked messy
but my attitude was pure

You were friends with Allen Ginsberg
Your jeans were torn at the knee
And you dreamed that we'll get bigger than Staten Island
While we lived on nothing but poems and tea

Back then I was just restless
And hungry for a voice
But you knew where we were headed
You said: »Patti, who we are is not a choice. «

Rimbaud and William Blake
It takes courage to be free
You taught me how to not be afraid
And I cared enough to let you be.

While at night you were out there on the Lower East Side
wrestling your demons
a part of me fought to accept it
and a part of me cried

Life is a sea of heartbreak
and those were different times
We were I and we were you
And I loved you no matter who you made love to
Track Name: Leaving Town Tomorrow
The edge of the night's still very far from here
So we can dance straight through it without fear
Of getting lost somewhere
Of getting lost in games that lovers play

But the eyes of The Moon tonight look very dark
And inside of yours I see I lit a spark
But please don’t let your heart
Don’t let your hart play tricks on us

You will help me drown my sorrows
I won't tell you no lies
Baby you've got pretty eyes
And you're leaving town tomorrow

Your skin is soft your hair falls down your face
You kiss me on the cheek and leave a trace
A lipstick stain,
A lipstick as black as blood.

You stare straight into my eyes and you don't blink
The air is getting thick it’s hard to think
But keep on dancing on
Just keep on dancing on

You will help me drown my sorrows
I won't tell you no lies
Baby you've got pretty eyes
And you're leaving town tomorrow

Please don’t ask me for my name
I don’t really want to tell you
Let’s just not talk at all
So there are no words to recall

Won’t you help me drown my sorrows?
I won't tell you no lies
Baby you've got pretty eyes
And you're leaving town tomorrow
Track Name: Lullaby (feat. Joanna Marie)
Release the grip of your weary eyes
Don’t you know you bound to fall?
You tried so hard to fight the gravity of your pain
Now it’s surrounded with a wall

I know you’re crying in your sleep
Can’t find no comfort in your dreams

Release the grip of your crooked mouth
I guess you would if you knew how
For every little thing that’s lost another’s found
Don’t let your worries bring you down

Cause you’re a river running to the sea
Don’t you ever think you’re just a shallow creek
You may be a dreamer falling from a cloud
But you're gonna land on your own feet
Just keep in marching to your beat

Release the grip my dearest friend
Maybe it just ain’t your call
Maybe all the things we’re so afraid to lose
Were never meant for us to keep at all

No more wandering in the dark
May all the dark clouds break apart

Cause you’re a river running to the sea
Don’t you ever think you’re just a shallow creek
You may be a dreamer falling from a cloud
But you're gonna land on your own feet
Just keep in marching to your beat
